Much heavier duty, 8,000#? But they need to be inset at least an inch. or 1 1/8"? They will only work if you go to heavier floor boards, which would entail placing the side angle strips higher, since the floor boards have to fit between the rear valance and those angle strips. hmmmm, or you could rabbet the top outer edge of the thicker floor boards...
