i think that gears + tires = not enough power from your engine. the gears were designed to improve speed about 20% and i think the tires do about the same. i think you will be too far out of the powerband and you will have to start in first a lot of the time. i did 489s in my stock command car - great. had 489s in my m47 with v8 power and had planned on larger tires to further reduce gearing to improve road speed. just my thoughts. ask bob stahl in ma, i think he would concur. mannyc
