in my use - dual discs in a stock command car and a m37 with a 360 v8 i used the dual master ray suggested and did not install a proportioning valve in either truck. never had a problem in either application under any condition. id leave it out and add it if there is a need in your use. if your truck will be boosted, which i also dont think is needed (in my use it wasnt) a valve might be necessary. i like to keep it simple and rays system is as close to perfect as i think you can get.
