I would agree with Paul, support is number one with a paint system.
The area where I live is primarily served by DuPont. But, the person at the PPG store was a little more willing to talk to me as an amateur, and helped me with getting started.
That is not a knock on DuPont at all, it just seemed that here at least, they were more focused on just the professionals.
Whomever offers you the best support would be where I would go.
Currently, I am using PPG's "shopline" for my primers.
