Powder coating has its place. Motorcycle frames or roll cage/chassis on race cars get added strength due to the powder coating. The finish isnt near what a quality paint could be but its not a big deal on frames. But all it takes is a knick or a chip and you could introduce rust underneath. Problem is you dont see it until its done lots of damage.Maybe its something to worry about and maybe its not. As for later model motorcycle frames not showing any damage. they havent been around long enough yet.
As for your parts that are powder coated I'll take that challenge. I can strip your part clean as a whistle using elbow grease and no machines of any kind.
