I used a bondo spreader to push the bead into it's groove. Oh, that groove has to be clean too. I used a piece of bail wire that I had bent a little hook on the end.
I used wd-40 as a lube when I had to. Soapy water works well as a lube, but the soap residue sucks water out of the air, leading to rust. Hmmm, I wonder about talcum powder as a lube? works on tires...]
I did find it necessary to glue it around the corners. Wait a day or so for the wd-40 to go away, or the glue won't stick.
