If you are serious about towing get a trailer. It is by far the safest way to go. I have a 16 ft. flatbed tongue pull, with two 6000 lb. axles and 4 10 ply (E) rated tires. Run 80 lbs of air in them. Trailer is rated at 10,000 lbs. Has electric brakes on all 4 wheels. It is equiped with a 9000 lb Warn Winch. I pull all this with a Ford F250, Power Stroke 7.3 liter engine and a 6 speed manual ZF transmission. Last year I hauled 22 trucks a estamated 28,000 miles from sea level to 11,000 plus feet in elevation. THis works for me. Hope I gave you something to think about. Bob
