Marty,
Believe it or not I drove one very similar Sunday. No sleeper. A '56 and a gasser also with a a 5x4 deep under. The local boys (and some not so local) have been putting on a steam logging show the last few years at Pomeroy Farms. My brother is involved in steam with those guys and called me Saturday and wanted to know if I was coming up. I told him naw, but I will tomorrow. I asked him what he was doing and he says he is running the log truck which he had done before. Sunday When I showed up Ralphy says that deadbeat brother of yours only made one turn in the truck and I had to do the rest so now you get 'er today since he doesn't even want to get in it. Too hot and too hard to steer. I just laughed but I did make most of the turns. They are using an old steam donkey with a spar tree we put up about a month ago. I forget what the old heel boom loader is but it has been converted to an old Cummins diesel. The truck gets loaded and I made a turn to the landing where I tripped the stakes while Charley used his Cat Sixty with an arch behind it to pull the logs off. Then he pulls them back where the donkey can choker them back up to the loader and we do it again. People actually paid to see it. =)
BTW, I had a job years ago driving a '53 with a JT 175 without the turbo. No that was slooooow. Neat rig you have there.
