In Kansas a recreational vehicle has to be titled as such. A friend titled a 94 Freightliner as a recreational vehicle. If he stayed under the 26k CDL limit he was fine. Any more then that and the air brake endorsement did some into play.
A semi truck with an antique tag on it has no weight restriction. You can put your antique bulldozer on a flatbed and roll around at 50k with no problems. In Kansas an antique is 35 years and older.
