The Spitfire heads were mounted on 251 care engines from the late 40's and 251 and 265 truck engines from the early 40s, including some 2-ton Dodge trucks. Go to "Phil's Forum Archives" link at the top of this page. Search for "Spitfire". Read lots of posts expalining the history and applications of these engines. Both blocks are 25" long. You can determine the cubic inches by measuring the stroke. Simply remove the plug over the #6 cylinder. The Forum Archives will tell you what you have.
