I bet you are right that lugging has had a lot to do with engines going bad over the years. But arent the Masseys using the long block flatheads? Theres still many of them running around here in Kansas as well. Lots of people think gas mileage comes with low engine rpm.They would be better off keepin their engine in the power band instead of lugging.
