Does he know about the Tacoma recall? 1995-2000 Tacoma trucks have a known frame rot issue. Especially bad in the Northeast.
Toyota will give him a check for 1.5x the Kelly Blue Book excellent condition dollar amount, no matter what condition its in. Not sure how they handle a repaired wreck.
