When the oil is gone we'll drop back about 120 years in techology. We'll probably have a revolt/riot of somekind. The people thats still living when its overiwth will have to do things different.
I work for the railroad and wondered what would happen there. Probably a given we'll have nuke power plants and coal plants so electricty wont be a problem. The railroad will just have to revert back to the old steam engines and probably wont be affected a whole lot. Once again a very simple design has stood the test of time and probably will continue to do so even 100+ years from now when we do run out of oil. I hope by then our technology has improved enough that solar and electric/battery powered cars and trucks will be around. Or be able to get hydrogen out of H20 easily and cost effective by then and then we can all buy retrofit kits to run our old Dodges on hydrogen. Maybe that should be a good project for Paul in Ny to do! Get his next Power Wagon project to run on hydrogen! HAHA!
