installing a staak in place of the orig divorced unit will provide you with 3 tc speeds of your choosing. you can do overdrive and underdrive in the same box. the thing is supposedly bulletproof and all things considered might be a better alternative to swapping in 489s etc. long island is pretty flat so i went with 489s, power steering and disc brakes in the command car. in retrospect, i would have don 11.00 michelins, power steering and left the gearing alone.
