Since this happened with a letter and a check over state lines, you can contact the Postal Inspector and ask for their take on it- they might consider it fraud. Mail fraud will get you jail. Also, it's time for people to stand up and complain about ebay's new feedback system, which is totally slanted toward buyers. I hate the new system, "Everybody's okay, everybody's all right, and no bad things happen."
