I have an older solar model 2175 that I have owned for nearly 20 years . Generally I am happy with it but I did have two circuit board failures at 120.00$ each while it was fairly new. The duty cycle is kinda short if you are welding heavy stuff. Hasn't given me any trouble in a long time but then again I don't use it every day either.Ask the fellow if he'll demo it for you . If it seems to work ok then 400$ seems like a reasonable price for a turn key unit.Hope this helps, Jim.
