All,
If you plan to go anywhere near central Iowa to get to the rally make sure your route is open. The City of Des Moines is currently closing bridges in and around downtown-the bulk of the flood is expected to arrive in the next 24 hours and when the spillway at Saylorville lake is breached the water will inundate everything downstream-that will happen sometime early Wednesday. Expect to see a lot of secondary roads closed, and probably the Interstate (both 80 and 35) in a few areas.
The next week or so will be very unpleasant in central Iowa and it's going to be hard to get around. It's all moving downstream.
