I have the same transmission in my '97 3500 it is 4 wheel drive. You have a Mopar 47/re transmission. The spline size and count are probably answered best at TDR.. or Dodge-Diesel.Org I have upgraded the Torque converter, and on the rebuild, a transgo shift kit was added. My truck is pushing 370 H/P @ 37 lbs. boost and 725 ft/lbs. of torque.
