Didn`t even think about the vac pump thing my 92 Cummins still has one. With the tank on the trailer it was sufficient. I loved those brakes,, never came down a hill backwards after I quit using electric on electric. After the first two backwards rides a guy gets real fast at jacknifing into a snowbank.;^) GB
