He talks about the 5.5 rim being narrower, the wheel having a greater offset, the bead being shallower, and the rim having a narrower flange. I don't see anything about the shape and dimensions of the mating surfaces of the ring to wheel. I am not sure exactly what he means by the 6.5 having a wider flange than the 5.5.
