Do you have the NP 420 synchro tranny?
That was first installed in 1956, I believe, in the flatfender PW's.
If so, then it has its own PTO. Maybe you could work a swap as you say for this. Try listing it in the classified here, as well as posting a free ad in PWA for example.
As Jerry says, you need more information to do this.
