I know it is kinda like insurance. I guess if I spent a pile of money on building an engine I would think WAY different.
I think those rings wore out cause those old slant 6 taxis ran 24 hours a day, all city driving idled for hours (not on an odometer) & had 100,000 plus miles on them. BUT no engine shut downs & gas flooded cylinders from chokes, less condensation etc. Says a lot for /6 motors regardless of oil. GB
