There was factory PS on W300s from 1958 on, the early setup from 1958-60 uses a actual PS box like a 70s car, and is VERY rare.
The 1961-71 setup was a power assist on the tie rod, this is easier to find, but I am not sure how effective it is.
There was a company out of Canada that was making a PS setup for the 1961-71 D100-D200, W100-W200, but I am not sure they had one for the 1961-71 W300.
If you have a 1972 or later W300, it should have been a common option, and should be easy to get up until the 80s.
If you are talking about a 1957 W300 Flat Fender style PW (sorry Clint) then they also had factory PS, but it is super rare. There is a kit that allows you to use a later box on a 1957 W300.
