ffpw dome light help please

I have a nice -correct dome light for my 53 ffpw. The truck did not originally have one but now Im replacing the headliner I thought Id go ahead and install the light. Im scared of cutting into the headliner and spoiling it. Can anyone tell me the correctlocation and how to install the light includng the wiring of it. How can I check if it works correctly prior to install. Im going with 12 volt so I changed out the bulb. Any advise appreciated
