There is an empty car on the end so you can cross over and unload the last car.
No the wheels don't ride on anything. You slide across the top of the cars on the rear outrigger,and front bucket wings. The winch pull you from car to car. Note the middle stabilizer,is to help in crossing.
Thats the way we did it anyway.
