Hello:
I am constantly toying around ideas of things to do with my trucks, and recently I looked at a 69 Chevy C-40 Dump truck. (Yes! I know its a Chebbie, but there are no decent Dodge Dump trucks in the area for sale...) This truck had large 5 hole 20 inch wheels on it. It looks as tho these wheels have the same bolt pattern and size as my '55 PW. I am comtemplating finding a set of 4 of these wheels for my PW if they would work..I am gonna try and find one I can take home with me for a bit to test fit etc. It looks as tho it would work. I have been told on these early PW's you can fit 38.5 inch tall tires with no lift or modification. I figure if I run 9X20 tires I should have about 37 inches. Any imput on this? I am gonna try to scrounge up one of these rims to test fit and I will keep everyone posted.
This forumn is great. I like an enviroment where we can swap info-parts and still be able to laugh and joke at the same time.
