Boy, oh boy. That'll add some weight! Is he talking like a 10 speed or 13 speed, like a "big truck"? As for what I'm putting in, I THINK it is a 5 speed. It is what Paul in NY recommended. I don't want to overdue it in terms of weight and the more gears the better. I just had my '86 359 Pete 13 speed tranny replaced for an 18 speed.
