There was an article in our local paper today of a guy alerting people of the cost of Electric(green?) cars. Seems he bought a newer Honda and started acting up and he couldn't go in reverse. It was under Warranty yet so the dealer ended up replacing the battery pack to fix it. Owner didn't have to pay but they told him if he did, the bill would have been over $7000.00! Said they have to use a forklift to lift the thing out.
I have to agree with others who have said if the batterys weigh THAT much, how much energy is used just to haul the weight? Does anyone know the difference, weight wise, between an electric car and a gasoline version of the same model? Just wondering, Kevin
