I just called my local NAPA store to see about getting some 6 volt light bulbs. He said he could get me the headlight, and turn signal bulbs. He then asked about the socket and harness. I told him so far I have nothing.
He said the headlights and signals are three prong bulbs. Is this true?
Here's the thing. I am looking to get my 1952 M101 trailer ready for the California Power Wagon rally. All I need are to get bulbs for the arrow signals and hook it to my Dakota to test it. Are 6 volt sockets the same as 12 volt sockets? I am keeping my FFPW 6 volt, so I need six volt bulbs. Do they make 6 volt bulbs with two filments for stop/parking lights? If I ocassionally pull my trailer with my Dakota, what would have to be done to the trailer to go from 6 to 12 volt and back?
