I hope your friend pops up in my e-mail eventually. I noticed the Manitoba plates on the PW. Is it still in the area?
My grandfather, Konnie Johannesson, purchased it in 56 or 57.
It was sold with his air strip in West St Paul(just outside Winnipeg) in 1969 to Gem Air.
This was originally a Manitoba Hydro truck for doing power line inspections.
My grandfather had quite the life, Flying instructor in the RAF in WW1, Olympic Hockey Gold Medal in 1920, many years of flying instruction and a trip to the Supreme Court for the right to operate that airstrip in West St Paul.
