Hope your not planning a shootout like our old mentor, John Bernard Books. Of course you can use the Power Wagon as the slowest gettaway vehicle ever.
One of my friends is a Vietnam Vet missing half his foot, walks with a limp, and goes through infections every so often.
He has an infectious laugh, reminds us all of Stumpy in Rio Bravo, laughs just like him, and wouldn't miss a season on his motorcycle and time with his family and friends.
He bring joy to all of us as we get headaches from laughing sooooo much when he is around.
So, maybe he can bring you a little laugther through these thoughs.
Even if I go out looking whole, I will have lost:
At least an inch or two
Numerous brain cells
Some memory
My youthful, Samson-like strength
Most likey a sock-lost in the wash
Few teeth
Some hearing-which can be a good thing!
My flexibility
My six pack abs
My stamina-unless I get a prescription!!!
On the serious side John,
If there are still things left that you can do and touch people who you meet, then the only way you can go out and not be whole, is to go out sooner than you have to.
