BY any chance, does your Char-Lynn motor have a built in relief valve ? Maybe its set to low ?

Its also possible, but not likly that the Char-Lynn Motor is defective and by some means blowing by internally when the pressure is increased. This or a built in relief would account for the noise you hear.

I bought a brand spanking new Char-Lynn Motor for the Bandit. It came in a sealed factory box from a dealer. The rear Cover O Ring was not installed properly and it blew oil all over.
