Iam not the grandson but I could imagine how he feels,Itried to buy it in 91,the guy was firm at $2500.Itried to trade my 69 gtx for it as he was a hot rodder, but no deal. That truck was my earlist memory of a power wagon,my folks used to drive by every Sunday on the way to grandparents farm.I heard GEM stood for Gerald E Malert,a hockey player for Winnipeg Jets in the 50,s.It was supposedly used as his truck for his fly in fishing lodge business, that is what I heard according to the oldtimers around here,eh.
