i have a 7.3.find out if the antifreez has been changed. i changed mine at 60,000. some new antifreeze is good for longer.there is a aditive you can buy from napa.it is called kool.i believe that is supposed to stop or slow down electrolisis. that is what will eat the eng block eventully. if it has been mantainted you should be ok.you can also test it with test strips. ask a ford garage mabey they will help. electrolises.happens in all deisels.
