The 444Dit came out in 97 til the 6.0 came out. Direct injection and it does have the high oil pressure system that your taking about. It took out some of the electronics of the IdI that came out in 94. Heavier motor but do have the power. I have a 97 crewcab shortbed 4x4 seems to do well 16-18mpg with auto trans. Bob
