The Water Jacket Aftercooler sits directly on top of the intake manifold. Its roughly 2.0" wide and 7.5" high with a air bleeder on the rear. Its very easy to identify in a quick glance.
With that said, the water jacket aftercooler is not as efficient as a CAC. WJAC can only cool the charge air to coolant temperature not below. A CAC can cool to almost ambient air temp which is much better. But due to available real estate the CAC cant be used on a PW/WC.
Off to the shop. I have to remove the sticks of wood and install the 1st gen isolators I just picked up.
