We lucked out and the rain turned to snow in a matter of minutes. Only the residual water turned to an ice coating under the snow. To the west, about 40 miles, it was complete carnage on the interstates. Cars on top of cars in the medians. Have been driving 100+ miles to work once a week and have driven home in two snowstorms this winter.
