My Dad's truck of the same year had the intermitent stall problem as well. His did it when cold as well. Everything checked okay that I looked at. Battery was getting weak as sometimes it would turn over slow. Replaced the battery and problem stopped. I'd change the battery out with a spare and see if that helps. If not, good luck in your search.
