All you can really see in that shot is the windshield. Maybe it's an M35, in which case the 6-hole rim would be correct, but that still doesn't explain why it's on the hood. I think it's probably just that some wardrobe person had some dim recollection of seeing a "jeep" with a tire on the hood, and figured he should dress all green trucks that way.
