Yes, I have heard of a 502. I thought it was more for racing purposes but not really sure. Probably cost a lot more than a 454. Never heard of a 496. Did you mean a 396? You are probably right about more economical using the diesel but propane is cheaper than diesel. Besides the diesel stinks and you have many people riding in the trolley.
Just throwing out more ideas. Apparently he is going with the diesel.
