...but last year when I was shopping for a plasma cutter myself (never made it to the actual purchasing point), there were TWO brands offered by General Air (the local big time welding shop) and I tried BOTH brands. It was worth it cause one brand (and I can't remember the brand that is why I'm being vague) started REAL slow and it was a delayed start whenever you first turned it onto the metal. My point is let the showroom let you try all their brands before you buy.
