I have seen that done in Indiana before with tow companies. Something that valuable will come up missing for good w/ the right company. Ask to have the cops also search impound yards and buildings. I used to drive a tow truck and have retrieved stolen vehicals from other yards, they just claim they have no idea where they got it ( like it was just sitten on the side of the road and they forgot to turn it in ). Mainly only in the biger cities though.
