Motor ID help, big block

Guys, my son-in law took a look at a truck for me and the motor is stated to be a 440, while the VIN states 400.

I've got a couple of pictures (Distributer base area, and drivers side head to intake area at the water pump). Is someone here an expert in high vs low deck big blocks? I'd like to send you the photo's and tell me if you can tell which motor it is.
