front wheel drums

What is the secret to removing the front drums on a 48wdx? I removed the three screws just like the back ones and the rear drums came right off. The front ones won't move at all. Maybe the face is rusted fast? I made a giant puller and haven't had any luck either. Any ideas would be appreciated. I am replacing the entire brake system and the frame is bare. I bought the brake lines from vintage and after straightning the long line can't see how it makes the turn at the rear axle to get over to the splitter near the rear pumpkin. I just remind myself that I am having fun right?!
