It don't matter which way the carb is twisted. It's just a matter of 'twisting' that last pushrod in the linkage. Maybe it works in a different hole in the carb lever? but I know that some applications twist the carb 90 with the wedge adapter, but they all use the same 'round the back' linkage. On the same manifolds.

My FFPW has looong studs directly into the manifold, for and aft. If your 1/2t manifold has holes left/right, then a 90degree twist adapter would align it with the usual parameters.
