Clint: Kind of you to mention my wood models. That is the one thing I miss more than anything in retirement; that I don't have a nice work shop any more. I still get many compliments from folks who bought them and it makes me proud that they would display one of my creations.
A note about them. They were all made to approx. 1/12 scale because that was the scale of the ready made wood wheels I was able to buy. 90% of the models were all hand made. I bought the wheels, steering wheel and headlights ready made.
As to the die cast models. I have the Danbury mint one and like it best of them all. I modified mine with a canvas back on it like we had in Arabia. I'll post a photo of it shortly.
