Been with the Waxahachie Fire Dept.(Waxahachie Tx.) for 14 years, driver for the last 11. Job hopped a couple of years at different departments right out of fire academy till I settled here(NO AMBULANCE, great recliners and big kitchens!).
Dad worked 32 years at Fort Worth. He was 56 when he retired, I hope to make it that long...only 20 years to go! My uncle just retired from Abeline last year after 30 years, so the decision of what to do for a living was pretty easy.
