Hey Chris, i tend to agree, unless the part is marketed as a "Drive line safety system" to prevent catastrophic failure of some other super expensive component, it shouldnt be expected to behave in that fashion. Although i have talked to a few guys who Crawl on a budget, and they do purchase the cheaper/plastic (korean) hubs to protect their more expensive axles.
These are Hubs, they shouldnt be expected to behave like a Syncro's on a transmission, or a Shear-pin on any rotating assembly.
