When I pulled our horse trailer with two horses and several hundred pounds of gear a few years ago, our 2001 Ram CTD 2500 got about 14 mpg.
Unloaded I get around 19 mpg in mostly semi rural driving.
I have the 6 speed and 3.54? axles
