The nice thing about the gooseneck, is that the hitch is under the bed, not in the bed like a 5th wheel. Everything you see in the photo is under the bed except the ball.
You only have a 6" trap door in the bed that can be closed when you remove the ball and aren't towing and you then have a normal bed.
To remove the 5th wheel apparatus in and out is a pain and then you need to store it somewhere.
No so with the gooseneck.
